THE WAVENEY SINFONIA

The Waveney Sinfonia Musical Society was formed in 1978 and was the brainchild of Richard Featherstone. The aim was to give Waveney an orchestra and to provide an opportunity for local young people to play with more mature musicians in an orchestra under a professional baton. 

Conductor: Adrian Brown. One of Sir Adrian Boult’s most gifted pupils, Adrian has conducted many of the leading orchestras in the country, Europe and further afield. In addition, he has spent much of his time conducting and judging youth orchestras. 

Soloist: Yu Zhou Zhang started playing the violin aged 6 and the piano aged 8. At 10 he joined the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Now he studies at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire. He has been a finalist and prize winner in many piano competitions.
